Actually, at least according to Popular Science, we will have developed actual jet-packs (but much safer) and for mass transit, blimps with hanging seats, making them look like floating jellyfish

This car is unrealistic and thus forth stupid. There are no shock absorbers and its aerodynamics are a piece of crap. Also the wheels are to thin, this thing would be capable of speeds about 30 or 40mph but no faster without lossing control. Also by reducing the air in the tires you also decrease how smooth the ride will be. Not to mention there is no space for an engine. And by having the foils on the front tires turn as well you INCREASE air resistance making it more likely to roll. Lockheed discovered this while making the SR-71.
In short this car is nice in looks but would be shit in actual performance and as such would never be developed for public transport due to safety issues.
